The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.
In Australia they are involved in one of the Country's largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in Execution Stage.

The Role:
Currently recruiting an Environmental Advisor - IFC Performance Standard. Reporting to the Senior Environmental and Social Adviser, you will primarily be responsible for management of an action plan to close out Project environmental and social management commitments under International Finance Corporation Performance Standards. This will involve coordination of actions and its contractors and reporting progress on internally and to financial institutions. This is a rare opportunity to utilise your experience in managing compliance with IFC Performance Standards and Equator Principles and leverage expertise in the construction management phase of major projects.

Key responsibilities of this position include:

-Maintain the "action plan" for close-out of IFC social and environmental commitments and manage close-out of IFC actions by Project personnel.
-Prepare progress reports for management in Perth and Darwin on IFC compliance and Action Plan status including on IFC requirements.
-Periodic reporting to Export Credit Agencies and coordinate IFC due diligence site visits from Export Credit Agencies.
-Review Contractor's documentation and processes for compliance with IFC environmental and social requirements.
-Review any proposed IFC deviations form Contractors and provide advice on their acceptability.
-Develop and coordinate the development of Project IFC Compliance notes or other documentation as required to justify any proposed deviations from IFC requirements.
-Conduct IFC gap analyses and develop remediation plans for any new activities proposed for the Project.
-Provide other support as requested by the Social and Environmental Adviser or the Environmental Manager.
-Work effectively with diverse stakeholders within and with external stakeholders.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
-Bachelor of Science or Social Science Degree or equivalent.
-Knowledge of and experience of IFC Social and Environmental Sustainability standards, guidelines and process.
-10 years experience (minimum) in environmental or social position.
-Environmental approval processes.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
-Construction management of social impacts (desirable).
-Oil and gas experience (desirable).
