The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.
In Australia they are involved in one of the Country's largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in Execution Stage.

The Role:
Currently recruiting for a Environmental Adviser - Marine. The primary function of this position is to provide specialist advice relevant to marine environmental monitoring of the construction and operational phase.

Key responsibilities of this position include:

-Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the company's policies and procedures. Ensuring the welfare of personnel and the protection of assets and the environment at all times.
-Assist the Senior Environmental Adviser-Marine in the preparation and execution of marine monitoring work packages
-Assist Senior Environmental Adviser - Marine to develop and execute detailed work scopes for marine baseline and monitoring programs to assess and document impacts from Project construction and operational phases.
-Assist Senior Environmental Adviser - Marine to undertake reviews of reports from marine baseline and monitoring programs, including QA/QC of data and consultant interpretations.
-Actively manage the monitoring consultant in their field activities and reporting to ensure safe and efficient data collecting and prompt delivery of reports to the satisfaction of Project Dredging Expert Panel and Regulators.
-Management and oversight of integrated reactive monitoring programs (mangrove, coral, seagrass, water quality) including provision of advice to relevant internal stakeholders re threshold exceedances.
-Development and execution of the following programs for the construction phase of the Project:
-Independent fauna observer program including training of contractor personnel (for piling and dredging works) as marine fauna observers
-Monitoring for injured / stranded/ dead marine fauna within Harbour including an injured marine fauna protocol
-Support Environmental Adviser - Dredging through the provision and interpretation of marine monitoring data/ reports
-Participate and oversee field based marine monitoring activities by Consultants.
-Provide specialist marine support as required for additional Project environmental approvals
-Provide other environmental support as requested by the Senior Environmental Adviser - Marine or the Environmental Manager
-Demonstrate and encourage empathetic teamwork as a member of a culturally diverse organization.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
-Bachelor degree in marine science or equivalent (essential)
-Higher level degree (desirable)
-Environmental impact assessment and preparation of environmental management plans
-Development and execution of marine monitoring programs
-Sound understanding of tropical marine environments
-Sound understanding of the oil and gas business
-Minimum 7 years experience
