The Company:
Our Company is a powerful new oil & gas production and development company, has been formed from the demerged North Sea interests of joint venture. Our company assets have been contributed by both firms on a debt free basis. We are a focused independent company

The Role:
• Support the implementation of appropriate company environmental policy, objectives and targets to meet the expectations of the HSEQ Strategy.
• Implement and maintain the Company environmental management system to achieve certification to the environmental standard ISO 14001.
• Ensure a consistent approach to environmental management.
• Proactively assist Project Managers, Drilling Managers and Asset Managers with discharging their environmental accountabilities.
• Work closely with asset, drilling and project teams to provide input to operational planning and environmental impact assessment processes, including ENVID workshops.
• Provide environmental input to Project HSEQ Plans including liaison with devolved Duty Holders and other main contractors.
• Monitor and implement changes in environmental legislation and guidance from DECC and other authoritative sources.
• Responsible for coordination and review of environmental statements and environmental permit submissions.
• Support business assurance activities through conducting environmental audits and legal compliance monitoring.
• Responsible for ensuring the accurate reporting of environmental data both internally and externally.
• Promotion of Company HSEQ culture within all assets and main contracts.
• Co-ordinate Company environmental input to interface documents and contracts.
• Review environmental emergency response interfaces with key contractors and other stakeholders; verify adequacy of exercise programs in line with DECC requirements.
• Provide general support and advice to the Head of HSEQ to ensure that all activities meet environmental management objectives.
• Act as a focal point for Company external liaison with DECC and other interested parties.
• Work with the Senior HSEQ Advisor to develop and maintain an HSEQ Action Tracking System.
• Develop and manage a register of Company permits and consents to ensure compliance.
• Collect, collate and analyse environmental incident data for assets, contracted drilling rigs and other relevant sites. Provide input to any accident and incident investigations and report information and statistics to the Head of HSEQ.
• Distribute lessons learned from accidents, incidents, audits and inspections to all relevant stakeholders, both from events within the Company business and relevant external sources.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Relevant degree in environmental science, natural sciences or engineering.
• An excellent understanding of field development practices and processes.
• knowledge of current and proposed legislation and environmental permits, and their impact on UKCS Oil and Gas delivery.
• Experience and understanding of ISO 14001 environmental management system, environmental auditing and ENVID techniques.
• Experience of working in an offshore environment is desirable.
