The Company:
Our client is one of Australia's largest exploration and production companies and a key energy provider in both the domestic and international marketplace. They have significant interests in offshore exploration, coal seam gas and renewable energy with a major commitment to safety, quality, and environmental issues.

The Role:
Fircroft have been asked to source Environmental Advisors (Construction/Operations) to provide technical support across the upstream section of the LNG project and environmental management at site.

• Work directly for the LNG project owner

• Long term, four years, opportunity

The Environmental Advisors (Construction/Operations) will be responsible for implementing environmental management and monitoring of onsite environmental issues, whilst participating within the Environmental Team as a whole and supporting the site works. Working for the project owners team you will offer a consultative service and liaise effectively with both internal and external parties.

Typically, the incumbent will raise awareness of legislative issues, conduct field surveys, interpret data, develop conceptual models and write reports. However, this will vary depending on both business need and individual experience.

Responsibilities include:
• Implement the environmental management of site based work
• Provide technical support to internal stakeholders and teams
• Ensuring adequate support and resources are provided to departments and personnel at site
• Raising awareness of legislative environmental requirements
• Implementing relevant procedures and policies
• Monitor and ensure onsite work is completed to establish improvement plans

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Tertiary qualifications, or equivalent years experience
• Knowledge of Australian legislation
• Strong listening and understanding skills to liaise effectively with relevant parties
• Experience within construction or heavy industry

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Experience working in the Coal Seam Gas (CSG) industry
• Competent in auditing and incident investigation RBI / RCA tools
• Certified professional in Erosion and Sediment control
