The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia. The Role:
An opportunity has become available for an experienced Environmental Advisor to join the Gorgon team based on Barrow Island.

In this role your Main Accountabilities and Responsibilities will be:

• Conduct environmental compliance inspections and audits of Contractor work sites to ensure conformance with environmental requirements.
• Oversees and monitors close out of corrective actions.
• Liaises and communicates on a regular basis with all stakeholders (inc implementation Contractors and Construction team members) to ensure environmental issues are addressed in a practical, timely and appropriate manner.
• Maintains clear communications between EPCM team and the Implementation Contractor workforce (including attendance of contractor toolbox and pre-start meetings), provides training and mentoring to Implementation Contractor workforce as required and ensures Implementation Contractor company’s procedures and operations are consistent with the Gorgon environmental requirements.
• Reports and participates in the investigation of environmental hazards, near misses and incidents in area of responsibility.
• Undertake general fauna handling and relocation duties.
• Strong organisational, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
To be considered for this role you will require the following:

• A minimum of 5 years relevant, practical experience in resource industry construction projects and/or operating facilities, including experience in working with EPCM contractors and subcontractors.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of environmental management systems.
• Practical working knowledge of relevant Western Australian and Commonwealth environmental legislation is essential.
• Environmental Science Degree (or similar).

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Demonstrated working knowledge of environmental management systems.

This position is a 12 month contract, based on Barrow Island, working a 11 hour day on a 28 x 28 day roster.
