The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia. The Role:
An opportunity is currently available for an experienced Environmental Advisor to join this successful team based in the heart of the CBD.

In this role you will be responsible for the following:

• Support the Terrestrial Environmental Team and delivery teams in establishing a strategy and guiding baseline surveys, managing modelling studies and Regulator interface for the Project. Monitor and report progress against milestones and identify/mitigate key Project risks. Provide technical design, direction and review of terrestrial data acquisition programs and reports, and support emissions and marine works.
• Participate actively as part of the Terrestrial Environmental Team in the development and review of construction environmental management plans and procedures, Works Approval and Operating licence applications, and provide review of engineering specifications, designs, operating and commissioning plans relating to environmental issues for the Project work scopes.
• Environmental Capability – Grow overall terrestrial technical competencies for the project and head office. Leverage from other WA projects and apply lessons learned and participate, as required, in cross asset activities and projects. Explore technical development opportunities for enhanced modelling and enhanced monitoring and survey methodologies, with emphasis on improved quality, efficiencies and reduction of safety execution risks.
• Environmental Execution - Provide advice and input into the Stakeholder/Government Agency engagement strategy, prepare presentations and information and participate as required in engagement activities. Interact with project contractors to enrol them in supporting an Incident and Injury Free culture and building our clients reputation for environmental performance. Provide ongoing assistance and advice in the preparation of documentation required for Secondary Environmental Approvals and subsidiary approvals.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
In order to be considered you will have an undergraduate degree in Environmental Science, applied Biological Science, or similar. A minimum of 8 years relevant, practical experience in design and management of environmental field data collection programs in arid and semi-arid environments.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Ideally experienced in environmental management programs and monitoring programs for industrial facility construction projects and/or operating facilities in Western Australia.
• Experience with support of large scale permit applications for major capital projects.
• Ability to oversee wide-scoped environmental consultants.
• Experience in planning and supervising third party contractors to conduct field data collection activities, to meet technical, health, safety and quality objectives.
• Practical working knowledge of relevant Western Australian and Commonwealth environmental legislation.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple high priority tasks concurrently.
• Ability to work in high pressure environment while meeting tight strategic milestones.
• Strong organisational, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Position duration is 12 months, located in Perth, working 9 hour days.
