The Role:
•Ensure that all necessary approvals and consents are obtained for the successful completion of the projects.•Ensure that the client's environmental requirements are observed across the range of projects activities •Must demonstrate commitment to world class HSSE performance through constantly exhibiting the correct behaviours toward HSSE and be prepared to challenge other’s HSSE performance.

•Provide technical support and guidance to the project and project management team (PMT) to ensure that the PMT complies with relevant local legislative requirements, the client's standards and procedures.•Provide technical support and guidance to the Exploration Department in obtaining relevant regulatory approvals for the conduct of a 3D Seismic Survey off the East Coast of Trinidad. •Responsible for the preparation and maintenance of the Project Permits and Consents Register for relevant projects under the project remit as well as the proposed 3D Seismic Survey including keeping the PMTs abreast of the status of permits and consents.•Coordinate input from all relevant personnel to ensure identified permits and consents are obtained in an efficient and timely manner.•Responsible for preparing and obtaining relevant permits (e.g. CEC) and approvals from relevant regulatory bodies such Environmental Management Authority (EMA), Ministry of Energy and Energy Affairs (MEEA), Fisheries Division, etc. •Define scope of works for and coordinate selection and procurement of contractors required to conduct environmental studies and environmental reports for the Projects. Manage the consultants’ performance and execution of environmental studies and reports.•Quality control environmental reports that are submitted by consultants prior to making final submissions to regulatory agencies. •Prepare relevant procedures and reports required for the operational aspects of the project to monitor the project’s environmental performance and ensure compliance with local and client's requirements.•Coordinate the development of an Environmental Management Programme for all phases of the Projects to control environmental risks and improve environmental performance•Lead or participate in environmental audits (e.g. compliance, environmental management, contractor audits) to monitor performance of projects.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•B.Sc. degree in Natural Science, or Environmental Management or Environmental/Process Engineering, or any other related field.•Comprehensive knowledge of applicable local and international environmental regulations, standards, codes of best practice and sustainable development initiatives relevant to the energy sector.•Exposure in the areas of Health and Safety •Knowledge and awareness of process engineering as related to the client's assets •Exposure to ISO14001 Environmental Management System Framework

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
•Possession of a M.Sc. degree in Environmental Management or a related discipline will be an asset
