The Company:
An international EPC Company involved in one of the world's largest LNG developments based in Australia, as well as other energy and resource projects.

The Role:
Our Client is looking for a Environmental Advisor to help Coordinate and implement all aspects of contractor environmental management.

Your duties will include but not limited to:

• Coordinates and performs contractor selection activities.
• Researches and advises site personnel and Contractors on the requirements for compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, commitments and guidelines.
• Coordinates the review and approval of Contractor Scope Specific Environmental Management Plans and associated Procedures to ensure compliance with environmental specifications and contract requirements – this may include Environmental Management Plans, Waste Management Plans, marine environmental management plans etc.
• Responsible for undertaking regular Environmental Audits on Contractors.
• Assists the Project Engineers in the development and delivery with respect to the environmental input into design.
• Participates in contractor environmental risk assessments.
• Hazardous materials review and approval.
• Undertakes contractor pre-mobilisation inspections as required.
• Attend Contractor bid review, kick-off and progress meetings.
• Provides input to other functional departments (commercial, procurement, construction, quality, safety) with respect to environmentally sensitive design.
• Prepares technical documents required for procurement bid packages.
• Coordinates and performs contractor compliance audits, including tracking and close out of corrective actions.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Ability to demonstrate knowledge, capability and competence in the following commercial, technical and interpersonal aspects:

• Approximately 5 years environmental experience in the resource and construction industry
• Industry recognised Environmental Auditing Qualifications.
• Practical construction/site based work experience
• Proven auditing, communication, negotiation and problem solving skills
• Contractor and client liaison skills
