Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia. The Role:
The Role
An opportunity has become available for an Environmental Advisor to work offshore.
Your duties will include but not limited to:
• Actively monitor compliance with statutory requirements, regulatory approvals and company environmental requirements and feed this information back to the Perth Environment Team;

• Statutory EMP/Regulatory Approval rollouts onsite to relevant Company and Contractor personnel;

• Develop and maintain the site based Environmental Management System to assist with compliance assurance process;

• Develop and maintain Audit/Inspection Schedule for all worksites and maintain an Action Tracking Register for any actions arising from the inspections;

• Conduct routine environmental inspections and targeted compliance audits for all project worksites (including secondary vessels and sub-contractor vessels) ensuring timely close out of action items raised;

• Review Contractor’s Action Tracking Register on a routine basis (e.g. weekly) to agree on action close-out status and reconciliation with Company’s Action Tracking Register

• Facilitate the compliance assurance process to ensure all relevant information is captured and evidence retained prior to completion of sub-scopes

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Ideally you will have the ability to demonstrate knowledge, capability and competence in the following commercial, technical and interpersonal aspects:
• Experience: 5+ years environmental professional with 3+ years marine construction experience, ideally within the Oil and Gas industry or large major capital projects.
• Vessel environmental management
• Environmental compliance and assurance
• Understanding of Western Australian and Commonwealth environmental regulations and approvals processes
• Strong communication, presentation and leadership skills
