The Company:
A worldwide operator requires a back to back team of Offshore Environmental Advisors to work near shore on 28/28 rotation in Kazakhstan during the construction phase of an oil and gas project.

The Role:
Environmental Advisor Offshore (HS09). Reporting to the project EIA/ELC Offshore Coordinator. Assist with the offshore implementation of the ELC Management System to ensure that relevant contractors are working in compliance with contractual commitments for ELC impact mitigation.
Interface with contractors and other members of the project team as necessary
Prepare reports regarding ELC performance as necessary for submission to other stakeholders
Onsite auditing and inspection of Contractor activities against the requirements of the EIA/ESHIA and ELC management system.
Monitor and where necessary enforce compliance with the Contractor Implementation Plans (CIP)

Provide advice to other project personnel and contractor regarding environmental issues and assist in the development of effective solution to issues.
Participate in the investigation of ELC Incidents and report those incidents as per the ELC management system
Maintain other aspects of the management system including but not limited to corrective actions databases, incident management tools and audit schedules.
Liaise with Contractors to increase their awareness of ELC Process, Impacts and Mitigations and to assist with the production of contractor deliverable as necessary
Promote and enforce project & RoK Environmental Standards / Requirements
Deliver ELC training programmes as necessary to both Company and Contractors

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
3-5 years of Kazakhstan based environmental experience, preferably with a focus on management systems and auditing. Experience of offshore work is required, experience with dredging operations would be beneficial
Acceptance of accommodation in offshore floatel and transport in a small boat
Fluent English language level. Minimum degree level education in a related field such as Environmental Science, Environmental Law, Environmental Management, Geography etc
