A major oil and gas Operating Company in the State of Qatar

The Role:
Job Purpose:

Provides oversight of the EPC Contractor and subcontractors during construction, commissioning and start-up activities to ensure regulatory compliance and environmental obligations are met for start up and handover to OED.

Provides SHE&S direction and leadership to the Project Management Team and contractors regarding regulatory interfaces and compliance with permitted activities.

Leads the continuing implementation and required updates of all guidance documents for the Onshore Project in support of Environmental, Chemical and Waste Management; Spill contingency; and Air Emissions requirements, and the Project Environmental Management Plan.

Work closely with PMT and EPC Contractor to minimize the overall impact to the environment in accordance with the project ESHIA, PErmit to Construct, land Lease requirements and Consent to Operate (CTO)

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
15 plus years broad based experience preferred

Experience in senior position with technical and SHE&S skills and in-depth knowledge of project management operations

Technical competence in one or more of the SHE&S disciplines

Experience in environmental and occupational health stewardship; risk assesment; regulatory interpretation, human factors and SHE & S Management systems
