The Company:
A major operator is seeking a 12+ months contract Environmental and Regulatory Professional based in Houston, Texas. Project – Team located in Houston, project site in Port Arthur/Beaumont Texas. Currently in Pre-FEED stages where they are currently drafting and filing applications.

The Role:
The right candidate in addition to the standard requirements must have experience with the following:
• Experience with preparing applications and dealing with Environmental Agencies in USA and ideally Texas
• FERC Application Experience
• Experience in working on the US Corps Army Engineering ‘Clean Water Act 404 Permit’
• Rivers and Harbors Act (Section 10)
• Experience applying for FERC Applications (Air Permits)

The Role:
• Construction of dock and unloading facilities for double-hulled LNG ships, five LNG storage tanks (approximate capacity of 155,000 cubic meters each) and re-gasification plant with send out facilities.
• Assess the environmental damage caused to the GPLNG site and coordinated cleanup and recovery efforts.
• Ensure compliance with FERC Plan and Procedures, environmental conditions of the certificate authorization, and other mitigation measures, environmental permits, and approvals. Also assist in assuring compliance with environmental requirements in landowner easement agreements.
• Ensure compliance with the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) as outlined by the NPDES Permit.
• Identify and document noncompliance issues and oversee corrective actions as necessary to bring activity back into compliance.
• Identify and document compliance with permits, plans and procedures.
• Attend daily construction management meeting to coordinate with project team.
• Regular attendance and participation at site specific project safety meeting.
• Performed environmental toolbox talks at construction crew JSA meeting.
• Evaluation and corrective action management utilizing Environmental Leading Indicators and Lessons Learned.
• Participate in regular environmental management meetings.
• Keep daily records of activities observed and compliance levels, including digital photo documentation.
• Ensure the protection of endangered wildlife, migratory bird rookeries, removal of wildlife in work areas by use of live traps or state licensed nuisance hunters.
• Participation in the management team overseeing contractors’ observation/intervention program.
• Developed monthly Environmental and Safety Bulletins for site distribution and use as toolbox talks.
• Participated in regulatory agency site inspections.
• Perform Environmental Induction Training.
• TWIC Escort.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Bachelor degree preferred
• 10+ years of environmental and regulatory experience
• LNG terminal experience preferred
• Oil and gas experience with an operating company preferred
