The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.

In Australia they are involved in one of the largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in FEED (Front End Engineering Design) Stage.

The Role:
We are currently recruiting for an Environmental and Social Advisor. Reporting to the Environmental Manager, you will be primarily responsible with the development and maintenance of the Social Impact Management Plan. Your expertise will allow you to provide specialist environmental advice and support in relation IFC Social and Environmental Sustainability standards, guidelines and processes.

This position is located in Perth with occasional travel to Darwin when required.

Responsibilities:
• Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures. Ensuring the welfare of personnel and the protection of assets and the environment at all times.
• Establish and maintain “action plan” for close-out of IFC Social and Environmental gaps
• Coordinate the close-out of IFC actions from Project personnel
• Coordinate the preparation and close-out of proposed deviations from IFC performance standards and guidelines
• Coordinate IFC due diligence site visits from Export Credit Agencies and other financing institutions
• Coordinate the development of the Projects Social Impact Management Plan required as one of NT environmental approval conditions
• Review Contractors documentation and processes for compliance with social and environmental standards and guidelines
• Assist the Environmental Approvals Coordinator with establishing and maintaining a compliance process for Project environmental and social approval conditions and commitments
• Provide general environmental and social support to the Environmental Manager and Environmental Approvals Coordinator as requested

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science or Social Science Degree (or equivalent)
• Minimum of 10 - 15 years experience in a similar Environmental Advisory position
• Knowledge of and Experience of IFC Social and Environmental Sustainability standards, guidelines and processes.
• Social impact assessment
• Preparation of social impact management plans
• Environmental approval processes
• Oil and gas experience (desirable)
