The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.

In Australia they are involved in one of the largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in FEED (Front End Engineering Design) Stage.

The Role:
We are currently recruiting for an Environmental Approvals Advisor. The primary function of this position is to assist the Environmental Approvals Coordinator in the development of strategies and plans for obtaining environmental approvals for the Project; assist with the requirements of the Expert Panel, development, review and execution of Environmental Management Plans, and execution of compliance actions for various approvals. Assist with interface activities between the Environment Team and other project / corporate disciplines.

Key responsibilities of this position include:
• Establish and maintain schedules for various approvals required under relevant legislation.
• Liaise and interface with other Project / Corporate disciplines to ensure the bidirectional flow of relevant information and requests for input or advice.
• Assist with the development, review and implementation of environmental management plans.
• Provide support to the External Affairs Department to engage and communicate with project stakeholders.
• Liaise with government regulators in regard to approval processes and issues.
• Review Contractors documentation and processes for compliance with environmental standards and guidelines.
• Assist the Environmental Approvals Coordinator in maintaining compliance records for Project environmental approval conditions and commitments in the Project Compliance system".
• Provide general environmental support to the Environmental Manager and Environmental Approvals Coordinator as requested.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science or Environmental Science or equivalent.
• Knowledge of and Experience of environmental approvals process, particular in relation to Northern Territory legislation.
• Experience with the application of Environmental Management Systems.
• Detailed working experience with the development of Environmental Management Plans.
• Experience with statutory and community processes to obtain environmental approval.
• Oil and gas experience (desirable).
