The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia.

The Role:
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Development of environmental approvals and management plan documentation.
Coordinate staff and contractors to develop and deliver work scopes to support development of environmental impact assessment documentation (e.g. EP Act s45c) and management plans.
• Liaison with internal and external stakeholders, including State and Commonwealth government agency representatives, to facilitate environmental impact assessment and management plan approval processes.
• Work collaboratively with all Project functional teams to ensure the Project approvals documentation and processes meet business objectives.
• Development, tracking and progress reporting of environmental approvals schedules, registers, process and procedure, and other management tools needed to support execution and awareness of part IV EP Act and EPBC approvals and associated requirements.
• Provide contract supervision, budget management and technical direction for environmental support services contracts.
• Support the Project’s environmental compliance assurance program including conduct audits and maintain evidentiary information records.
• Support Supervisor and HES Management Team members as required.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
An Environmental Science degree (or similar)
A post-graduate qualification in applied science, environmental management, or environmental law is desirable.
Preferably a minimum of 7 years relevant, practical experience in resource industry, including experience in managing specialist consultants and directing environmental studies required
Proven experience in acquiring environmental approvals for comprehensive resource development projects in environmentally sensitive locations with recent experience in the oil and gas industry desirable
Practical working knowledge of relevant Western Australian and Commonwealth environmental legislation is essential.
