The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.

In Australia they are involved in one of the Country's largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in FEED (Front End Engineering Design) Stage.

The Role:
As the Environmental Approvals Coordinator you will coordinate the timely delivery of environmental approvals for the Project and to manage the processes for assuring that environmental approval commitments, conditions and secondary legislative environmental approval requirements are implemented.

• Act as Interface Coordinator for Commonwealth and Northern Territory environmental regulator communications on environmental matters.
• Maintain close relationships with Government Approvals and External Affairs teams for coordination of environmental approvals and stakeholder engagement processes.
• Develop and maintain a detailed execution strategy for all secondary (construction and operation phase) environmental approvals.
• Coordinate the Ichthys Project Dredging Expert Panel.
• In association with planners and line Environmental Advisers, develop and maintain detailed schedules for the delivery for all secondary (construction and operation phase) environmental approvals.
• In consultation with the HSE Assurance Team and environmental line advisers ensure the cascade of environmental obligations to Project personnel and to EPC Contractors.
• Provide support to the HSE Assurance Team for the development and maintenance of assurance processes to track compliance with environmental obligations.
• Provide expert advise on Australian environmental approval legislation and seek legal advise where clarity is required.
• Develop strategies, schedules, resourcing, budgets and execution plans as required, should any additional environmental approvals be required for the Project.
• Manage and supervise the work of the Environmental Approvals Adviser, Technical Editor and Team Technical Assistant.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• BSc. in environmental discipline (minimum).
• Min. 15 years working in environmental discipline.
• Past experience in gaining environmental approvals for a major oil and gas developments (preferably within Australia).
• Experience in implementation of a major construction project (preferably within Australia).
• Detailed knowledge of Australian environmental approval legislation.
