An international EPC Company involved in LNG and Mining Projects.

The Role:
ENVIRONMENTAL COORDINATOR – BARROW ISLAND- WESTERN AUSTRALIA - $$ ATTRACTIVE - LONG TERM PROJECT

As Environmental Coordinator you will play a pivotal role on the project: the following will be included in you duties.



• Provision of environmental training and mentoring to construction personnel and Implementation Contractors as required
• Provision of advice to Environment and Construction team members regarding constructability of requirements and commitments
• Maintains clear communications between Project and the Implementation Contractor workforce (including attendance of contractor toolbox and pre-start meetings)
• Ensures Implementation Contractor company's procedures and operations are consistent with the Gorgon environmental requirements
• Responsible for adequate environmental performance of Implementation Contractors on Barrow Island
• Has practical understanding of relevant project commitments
• Liaises and communicates on a regular basis with all stakeholders to ensure environmental issues are addressed in a practical, timely and appropriate manner
• Conducts site environmental inspections and audits of the company and Implementation Contractor works to ensure conformance with environmental requirements
• Ensure timely and effective close out of corrective actions
• Reports and participates in the investigation of environmentalhazards, near misses and incidents in area of responsibility
• Reviews Implementation Contractor environmental performance and communicates with Site Environment Coordinator - Infrastructure (or delegate).
• Undertake general fauna handling and relocation duties
• Assist in the preparation of environmental reporting requirements (including weekly, monthly and annual reports)

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Remote FIFO site experience in Pilbara, preferably on Barrow Island
• Supervisory experience
• Extensive, practical field-based work experience
• Proven communication, negotiation and problem solving skills
• Extensive contractor and client liaison skills
