The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia. The Role:
An opportunity has become available for an Environmental Coordinator to help with the coordination of the environmental management activities for LNG plant site activities.

Your duties will include but not limited to:

• Ensures that LNG Plant and site facilities are constructed and activities undertaken in accordance with approved Environmental Management plans and environmental commitment requirements. Includes environmental compliance inspections and audits of Project work sites, and participation in third party and regulator inspections and audits of relevant sites and activities
• Supports on-site environmental issues and incident investigations and follow-up and facilitate lessons learned across rest of Site Contractors and Project Team. Reports and participates in the investigation of environmental hazards, near misses and incidents in area of responsibility
• Reviews environmental incident reports for adequacy and effectiveness of control actions to ensure they are fully implemented and effectively closed out within agreed timeframes
• Supports transition to operations and verification activities to achieve timely completion of verification checklists and the Pre-start up reviews; ensures alignment of compliance assurance activities with commissioning impact mitigation strategies (for applicable work scopes)

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Ideally you will have the ability to demonstrate knowledge, capability and competence in the following commercial, technical and interpersonal aspects:

• Environmental science or management degree (or similar)
• Preferred candidate would have more than 10 years experience in working in the environmental and/or quarantine management field, ideally with experience in areas of high environmental sensitivities

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Practical knowledge of relevant Western Australian and Commonwealth environmental legislation is essential
