The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia.

The Role:
Of Environmental Engineer will support development of environmental work program, budget allocations and work scope descriptions for environmental work packages to meet Expansion Project needs.
Work packages to include development of environmental impact assessment (EIA) deliverables, Value Improvement Practices workshops, engineering studies, risk assessments , development of Environmental Basis of Design, baseline environmental studies fieldwork, preparation of environmental management plans, scoping of secondary environmental approvals work packages, and compliance audit programs.

• Lead development of environmental Basis of Design for Gorgon Expansion Project. Review technical documentation from engineering and operations teams to ensure environmental engineering requirements are addressed in the design and preparation for operations.
• Monitor compliance with the Environmental Basis of Design for the Project to ensure regulator and company requirements and environmental engineering commitments are implemented in the detailed design of the facilities.
• Conduct technical reviews of project change requests that affect the Environmental Basis of Design, and potential variations between project BOD and EIA documentation.

• Provide technical direction on environmental risk assessments to assess conceptual and detailed designs, and commissioning, start-up and operations sequences and procedures. Assist engineering and operations teams in ensuring environmental risks are managed to ALARP levels or lower and are consistent with the vision of ‘World Class HES Performance’.

• Provide subject matter expert input and review to the environmental impact assessment documentation.
• Provide technical work direction to project staff and third party consultants conducting environmental engineering design studies and reviews and preparing environmental emission and discharge inventories, management plans and monitoring programs.
• Provide technical support for preparation of Works Approvals and Operating License applications for Gas Treatment Plant facilities.

• Assist company in developing environmental performance standards and environmental reporting systems.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: Environmental Science or relevant Engineering Degree (Civil, Process, Chemical or similar).
Minimum of seven years relevant, practical experience in resource industry construction projects and/or operating facilities

Experience with petroleum facilities design, construction and operations is desirable.
Practical working knowledge of relevant Australia Standards, Commonwealth and Western Australian occupational health and safety, and environmental legislation is highly desirable. Team Player Good written and verbal communication skills
