The Role:
To support EHS Management System through development and implementation of required environmental elements. The position is an environmental
generalist requiring qualifications in air quality, waste management, ground water monitoring, water discharge quality and hazardous materials management.

The position will maintain environmental assessments and implement plans to eliminate, control or mitigate the potential adverse effects of environmental emissions or
personnel exposures. He will be responsible for fully understanding external EHS requirements in laws, regulations, and permits and implementing programs to assure

Based on environmental assessments, develop and maintain procedures to eliminate, control or mitigate potential adverse environmental and human effects.
Develop and maintain waste characterization and management program and ensure storage, treatment, transport, recycling and safe disposal of all wastes to meet relevant national requirements and minimizes future liabilities.
Develop air emission inventories from stationary and fugitive sources. Implement emission source test program. Analyze and store ambient air quality and meteorological data.
Monitor water discharge quality & volumes and ground water levels & quality and store data in databases.
Implement a hazardous materials marking and labelling protocol to control environmental risks during the storage, handling and use of hazardous materials

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
This position requires an experienced and motivated individual. Possession of a Chemical or Mechanical Engineering Degree is essential with post-graduate study in Environmental
Protection desirable. Experience with implementation of Total Quality Management and statistical process control are highly desirable.
A minimum of five years working at a responsible level in a world-class process industry committed to excellence in EHS performance is considered essential.
Incumbent must have a service focus to delivery quality support in timely and cost effective manner and an ability to participate and lead teams of co-workers is a prerequisite.
Highly developed influencing and communication skills are a fundamental requirement.
