The Company:
Our client, a major international owner/operator executing an LNG project in British Columbia

This position is open only to Citizens and Permanent Residents of Canada.

The Role:
Currently seeking an Environmental Enginner in Calgary to provide assurance for environmental input for facility and pipeline design with previous experience in British Columbia regulation

As an Environmental Engineer your main duties will involve:

Provides assurance for environmental input to the facility and pipeline design to ensure: potential Environmental Social Health Impact Assessments (ESHIA) impacts are reduced or eliminated, data gathering and reporting are as seem less as possible. Provide client Assurance that the design has been delivered for HAZOPS, Aquatic and Terrestrial Engineering design risk reviews, ALARP demonstration and engineering interface issues.

Provide oversight for overall Pipeline Development (Environmental Management System Aspects and Documentation, Operational Excellence (OE) Data Reporting and coordinates provision of general support to teams as requested/required - primarily related to EMP interpretation and in regards to interfaces with project team and contractors.

Coordination with field HES Advisors covering key project execution areas of aquatic infrastructure, terrestrial infrastructure, environmental engineering design and compliance assurance. e.g. compliance assurance includes identifying and managing compliance assurance requirements from corporate requirements in addition to regulatory requirements (e.g. ESHIA, Natural Resource Management Plans, Environmental Performance Standards). Develops and delivers field environmental compliance documentation and training. Helps build a culture of value creation through risk management and mitigation planning. Exhibit leadership of Way Behaviours, implement Capital Stewardship Organizational Capability (CSOC) principles, use the Project Management System (CPMS) and visible leader of Injury Free.

Provides technical input for implementing OE processes, best practices, modelling of environmental impacts including GHGs, HAPs, air quality, stormwater, noise, waste inventory, air quality, and accidental releases. Coordinates with project team to provide information to support ESHIA, permitting and the project schedule.
Initial focal point for non-conformance reporting, follow up and incident investigation and close out. e.g. approaching Emergency Management Plan interpretation and
engineering review with an assurance perspective and within Pipeline Environmental Team.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Understanding of British Columbia regulation and of pipeline development
