The Company:
Our client has been engaged in the exploration and production of natural gas in the Netherlands and the North Sea Continental Shelf since 1964. In the Dutch sector of the North Sea, gas is produced from 22 platforms and 3 subsea production installations. Most of the platforms are unmanned and remotely operated; four have gas treatment facilities.

The Role:
The role and tasks
- Manage contractors and consultants performing environmental studies.
- Contribute to the definition and implementation of Environmental policy within the branch
association (NOGEPA), as part of the Environmental Committee, in close co-operation with
authorities.
- As member of the “Oil in Water” Task Force, propose improvements to reduce the aliphatic
hydrocarbon concentration in overboard water.
- Participate in the Emergency Response Team as HSE Duty.
- Assist and participate in CO2 emission trading.
- Take part in environmental studies and risk assessments undertaken for the design, operations and
abandonment of production installations.
- Participate in actions for identifying and minimising environmental risks and the impact of
activities, especially for simultaneous operations or in downgraded situations.
- Check the follow-up and execution of actions determined after an environmental incident,
accident, audit or inspection.
- Ensure coordination, reporting and transmission of key environmental indicators to our Head Office
in Paris.
- See to it that HSEQ policy and reference documents are understood and applied.
- Drafting of environmental reference documents for our Company Management System.
- Keep track of changes in environmental regulations and plans for new regulations.
- Plan and supervise and ensure follow-up of the ISO 14001 audits.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Completed BSc or MSc degree in Environmental Management or technical discipline
- Minimum of 5 years working experience in the oil and gas or petrochemical industry
- Good knowledge of Dutch and English (spoken and written)
