The Company:
Our Client is an independent Australian oil and gas company with a global presence playing a key role in supplying energy to our region.They are one of the worlds leading producers of liquefied natural gas, helping meet the demands for cleaner energy from Japan, China, Korea and other countries in the Asia Pacific region.

The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Environmental Engineer to join this leading Oil & Gas operator based here in Western Australia. This company has eatablished producing assets and an active/expanding project portfolio. This position will see you provide high level environmental engineering services to developments and the companies engineering division, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse and changing technical business requirements, across the companies active development projects and central engineering function.

Responsibilities:
Developments Environmental Engineering
• Work in multidiscipline teams delivering green and brownfield developments across all phases of development from concept screening through to decommissioning.
• Technical environmental engineering, environmental risk assessment, mitigation barrier design, atmospheric pollutant emission estimation.
• Major environment events, safety and environmental critical element identification and development of environmental performance standards for environmental critical elements.
• Coordinating environmental engineering contractors.
• HAZID/ENVID facilitation, HAZOP and SIL participation.
• Coordination of ALARP assessments.
• Working with the Developments Environment team to deliver environmental engineering aspects of some of the companies developments.
• Provide the input required for both onshore and offshore environmental approvals.
• Mentor others in the team on technical environmental engineering aspects.

Engineering Division
• Working with the chief environmental engineer in delivering the environmental engineering management system in line with company requirements.
• Maintaining environmental engineering guidelines, procedures and knowledge management tools
• Project management of environmental engineering work scopes across the company

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Demonstrated experience in Engineering Contractor Management
• Project Management experience devising and executing scope of work/ contract and delivery to a basis of design or project specification
• Experience delivering basis of design (ideally LNG or FPSO )
• Demonstrated success in project delivery through a multidisciplinary team experience
• Process safety and environmental risk management experience (HAZID/ENVID, HAZOP, SIL, ALARP)
• Experience in pollution modelling including – dispersion (air or water), dredge plume modelling, oil spills
• Strong understanding of process engineering
• Strong understanding of environmental regulatory framework & environmental impact assessment process
• Effective mentoring experience
• Excellent stakeholder influencing skills
• Exceptional written & verbal communication skills
• Effective negotiation and conflict resolution skills
• Suitable Degree level qualifications (Ideally B.Eng, BSc (Environmental Management) acceptable wit
