The Role:
To manage the day-to-day operations of the Environmental Management Section to ensure that the world class environmental management system complies with
local, state and international regulations and is maintained at the highest level.

Provide day-to-day leadership to the Environmental Management Section including keeping the EA Manager appraised of all developments and providing technical
input to key strategic decisions and deve lopments, whilst ensuring environmental KPJs stay on track.

Coordinate the investigation, reporting, follow-up and tracking of incidents which include property damage, spills and releases.
Participate in four Safety Walks with EA Manager every year.
Lead the various Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives on behalf of the Section and in support ofthe EA Manager.
Lead the SIROTA Action Plan initiatives for the Section, assign appropriate resources, keep the EA Manager appraised and obtain approval for plan task implementation.
Attend regular meetings throughout and in the local community on a range of environmental matters.

Prepare the section operating budgets to ensure all section programs and activities are appropriately funded. Monitor and decide on budget performance against
approved levels on a monthly basis and investigate and reconcile any significant variances to ensure effective performance and cost control.

Oversee contract administration and management of Department environmentallyrelated contracts, ensuring company policies and procedures are adhered to.
Participate in Internal Quality Audits to ensure compliance with ISO and RGEE requirements.
Assist with the development ofQatari nationals and plan and supervises their training programs whilst within the Section.
Build and reorganise section to meet department objectives and satisfy requirements of company's scale of operation.
Recruit, lead, train and develop Section personnel, providing ongoing coaching and mentoring to maximise their performance.
Perform other duties as allocated by the EA Manager when required .

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Appropriate degree from a recognised technical university, preferably in Chemical Engineering or Environmental Management.
Membership of a recognised international environmental association mandatory.
Broad technical and commercial knowledge related to the oil and gas industry, both onshore and offshore, for at least I 0-12 years.
At least 5 years' experience working in a world class organisation in the environmental arena at a management or supervisory level
