The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.
In Australia they are involved in one of the Country's largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in Execution Stage.

The Role:
Our client is currently recruiting for an Environmental Offsets Advisor. The function of this position is to provide specialist environmental support to the Environmental Offsets Coordinator.

Key responsibilities of this position include:
• Provide technical environmental advice and support to the Environmental Offsets Coordinator with a focus on site selection for terrestrial and marine habitats.
• Develop multi-criteria decision support tools and scopes of work for GIS analysts
• Project manage specialist studies by consultancies
• Participate in and / or facilitate community consultation and stakeholder workshops with regards to environmental offsets.
• Liaise with government agencies and universities.
• Prepare implementation plans and other deliverables for environmental offset programs.
• Monitor progress of environmental offset programs and ensure timely submission of deliverables to regulators.
• Assist the COMPANY Offsets Steering Committee in the development of detailed Heads of Agreement
• Attend COMPANY Offsets Steering Committee as requested by Environmental Offsets Coordinator
• Establish and maintain processes to account for all Company expenditure on offset planning and implementation
• Conduct other activities are requested by the Environmental Offsets Coordinator or Environmental Manager
• Develop relationships and work effectively with team members within the HSE, Government Approvals and External Affairs functional areas.
• Demonstrate and encourage empathetic teamwork as a member of a culturally diverse organization.
• Work collaboratively within COMPANY organization to achieve alignment on strategies and documentation required to achieve project objectives.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Environmental Science or equivalent
• Knowledge of and experience in site selection studies and/or commissioning of GIS analysis
• Knowledge of and experience in marine and terrestrial environmental planning approvals process, particularly in relation to Northern Territory.
• Knowledge of and experience in stakeholder engagement and community consultation.
• Project management experience.
• Minimum 7 years experience.
• Oil and gas experience (desirable).
