The Company:
A leading Australian coal seam gas explorer and producer focused on developing its world-class reserves for domestic and international supply.

The Role:
Fircroft have been asked to source Permits and Applications Officers to coordinator the writing and maintenance of environmental management plans, required by Australian Federal, State and Local Government.

• Attractive Brisbane location
• Work for a Coal Seam Gas (CSG) project owner
• Long term contract position (12 to 24 months)

The Permits and Applications Officer is responsible for conducting environmental assessments, as well as writing and coordinating management plans. The incumbent will provide expert advice regarding environmental management and approvals required for upstream gas development activities.

• Interpret and provide advice on licence conditions, management plans and other environmental requirements
• Research specific issues required to undertake options and strategy analysis
• Coordinate with consultants, internal and external stakeholders regarding environmental permits and approvals
• Ensure appropriate records and document controls are maintained to ensure accountability of permit actions

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Tertiary qualifications in environmental science or planning
• Environmental planning, permitting and approvals experience in the Oil & Gas industry
• Knowledge of the principles and processes for assessment, management and planning

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Record of delivery on projects in Queensland
