The Role:
This position’s primary objectives are to deliver the Impact Assessments, develop Regulatory deliverables, support operational environmental needs, maintain overall environmental compliance and coordinate strategic environmental issues.
This role is HSSE Critical – HSE Professional.

The Environmental Planner will be accountable for the project's Environmental and Regulatory processes as follows:
• Coordinating the Integrated Environmental/ Social/Health Impact Assessment (IA) process.
• Developing and submitting the Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), Environmental Management Plans, Social Impact Assessment (SIA), Impact Benefits Agreement and permit applications as required by regulators.
• Procuring & managing contractors with respect to all IA-related activities.
• Maintaining compliance with HSSE&SP-related regulations & commitments.
• Identifying environmental risks, developing work scopes for environmental baseline and scientific studies. Supporting and/or participating in environmental-related audits.
• Providing advice and quality assurance related to environmental aspects of Oil Spill Contingency planning.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Bachelors (minimum) of Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering with 10+ years of experience in environmental and/or regulatory fields. Masters degree preferred.
• Working knowledge of the North Sea regulatory framework.
• Experience in offshore exploration activities including, drilling, geophysics/geomatics, marine scientific studies.
• Multiple years experience managing a wide range of environmental issues associated with impact assessments, permitting, management systems, baseline studies, monitoring, emissions/discharges, compliance, regulatory processes.
• Abundant experience in Impact Assessment development.
• Abundant experience in Project Management with successful delivery (within scope, on schedule & to budget).
• Experience performing and following up on environmental investigations and audits.
