The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Environmental Project Engineer -

Required to work in any of the areas of Recycled & Renewable Materials, Vehicle Interior Air Quality and Materials Compliance and including one or more of the following:

Lead cross functional team to improve vehicle interior air quality working with Suppliers / Engineering / and the Materials laboratory to identify problems and solutions.
Assist in vehicle compliance to substance legislation including the move towards lead-free solder materials.
Increasing the usage of recycled and renewable materials in our clients products by identifying opportunities, leading projects and working with Suppliers and Universities

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Self motivated & able to work to a high standard with minimal supervision, with a proven ability to work within strict timing constraints.
Effective communication skills essential. (both written & verbal.)
Highly motivated and enthusiastic, with ability to multi-task and a willingness to learn.
Computer literate and experience of mainframe IT systems beneficial.
Experience in Materials Development required.
Relevant Materials/ Chemistry/ Science/ Engineering Degree required.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Previous experience in recycled / renewable materials development, working in an analytical environment would be a benefit. Knowledge of adhesives, paints, would also be an advantage.
