The Company:
Our client, a major owner/operating company, requires expertise for their LNG mega-project in Western Canada.This position is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only.

The Role:
As an Environmental Specialist you will oversee:
• Support the environmental program onsite to demonstrate compliance and achieve environmental protection objectives.
• Manage Triton in performing environmental, compliance and wildlife monitoring at site (Industrial Site, FSR, Bish Cove, Offsite Marshalling and monitoring areas), improving data quality (accuracy and precision) and program effectiveness/ optimization.
• Key contact for environmental compliance, including ownership and stewardship of field compliance checklist completion.
• Own non-compliance process reporting together with Env Lead and Site Manager.
• Obtain historical documents which demonstrate compliance for historical (completed) scopes of work.
• Manage OEDRS metric and spill reporting. Support stormwater monitoring.
• Lead environmental management for third-party scopes.
• Provide env field support for landfill/ Industrial site maintenance fieldwork.
• Lead Industrial Site fish salvage and fish barrier cleaning. Own CO2 Purchase Order.
• Complete Stormwater Permit reporting requirements, including annual report.
• Maintain Environmental Management Plans (EMPs) and ensure they are implemented for all field scopes.
• Update the EMPs as needed.
• Serve as key env contact for regulator site visits and inspections.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
As an Environmental Specialist you will have experience:
• BC Environmental Regulations
• LNG Experience
• B.Sc. degree required in Environmental Science or Engineering
• 7 years environmental experience (field sampling mandatory)
