The Company:
Our Client is one of the world's largest Oil and Gas companies. Their operations cover the entire energy chain, including oil exploration and production to trading, shipping and refining and marketing of petroleum products, as well as chemicals. Our Client has operations in over 130 countries and has more than 95,000 employees worldwide.

The Role:
To provide specialist advice in environmental matters in order to demonstrate sound environmental management, ensure legal compliance and minimise potential for litigation or damage to the Company’s reputation. The post holder must work closely with the Company’s operations and support groups to ensure that a comprehensive advisory service is provided which takes into account specific environmental constraints.

Main Activities:

• Provide advice and guidance to Client business units to ensure environmental good practice and legal compliance.
• Preparation of PON15 (B, C, D, F’s etc.)
• Preparation of OPEP’s.
• Co-ordination and QC of EIA and Environmental Statements.
• Data collection and reporting:
o Group ENABLON system
o EEMS Portal
• ISO14001 EMS maintenance and auditing.
• Support to EU ETS focal point.
• IPPC sampling co-ordination.
• Waste management.
• Onshore PPC management.
• Provision of training and awareness events.
• Act as Environmental Focal Point for a chosen Client site/asset.
• Prepare & chair quarterly Environmental Focus Team meetings at specific site.
• Regulatory liaison DECC, SEPA etc.
• Incident investigation support.
• Input and review environmental content of Company audit & incident tracking system (Stre@m).
• Offshore travel required.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Educated to degree level.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of environmental legislation.
Must possess offshore survival certificate.
