The Company:
The client is a leader within the Automation and Control Systems field with operations in 100 countries worldwide. They specialise in providing integrated solutions to the Transmission and Distribution and Oil & Gas industry with projects offshore and overseas.

The Role:
The purpose of the role is to primarily manage assigned Engineering & Procurement Contactors / Major Contractor Accounts, achieving the sales objectives and meeting or exceeding the set sales targets.

Key duties include:

1. Developing existing business within the major engineering contactor companies based in the Southern part of the UK, operating within the Chemical, Oil & Gas, Energies markets.
2 work effectively with other sales/projects personnel & divisions to maximise the total order potential for the company.
3 Promote the company’s image and interests by operating profession diligence and expertise.
4 Provide technical, commercial and application support and assistance to the customer during the project pursuit cycle.
5 Obtain enquires and follow-up quotations, and where necessary, assist the projects pursuit team with the preparation of project bids.
6 Maintain close working relations with the Oil & Gas Business Units and COG associated feeder factories within MP
7 Prepare product/customer budgets for the area and develop a business plan to achieve them.
8 Submit a monthly order forecast and maintain a live prospect list .
9 Update and maintain the internal project pursuit tools and customer information databases (ProSales, ACT)
10 Monitor and provide market intelligence on current trends and competitor activity.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
relevant qualification in an engineering related discipline
Proven track record of business development and Sales within the Process Industries
