The Company:
Our client is based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, they are currently building an integrated oil refining and petrochemical operation by way of upgrading their oil refinery and constructing a new petrochemical complex. This joint venture has been in place since August 2005 when the project was established. This is an opportunity to work for and with one of the worlds leading oil companies in one of their major downstream projects.

The Role:
Department Details:
PED is responsible for evaluating existing processes and configure manufacturing systems to reduce cost, improve sustainability and develop best practices within the production process.
We ensure various engineering supports are available to assist the complex operations; including troubleshooting, optimization, and identifying opportunities to grow capability.
Responsibilities involve designing equipment, understanding the reactions taking place, installing control systems, and starting, running and upgrading the processes. Environmental protection and health and safety aspects are also significant concerns.

Who we're looking for:
•Process Engineer with experience in Polymer plants/EPDM Rubber facilities. Prior EPR experience will be an advantage.
•Can review plant design, operations, troubleshooting, control and optimization of chemical & physical advanced material process through systematic methods
•Good knowledge of basic operation, material & energy balance calculations and design details.
•Can develop standard operation procedure (SOP) for process and having process/operation trainer capability.
•Have experience in pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up of polymer plants.

Duties & Responsibilities:
•Evaluate and improve on processes in manufacturing systems.
•Maintain reliable and safe manufacturing systems while improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs and changeovers.
•Develop innovative solutions.
•Improve process capability and production volume while maintaining and improving quality standards.
•Prepare samples for study.
•Collect, record, and transcribe data.
•Show results in reports.
•Provide suggestions during incident investigations.
•Advise on corrective actions.
•Work with equipment designers and manufacturing officers to develop a cost-effective and working production process.
•Ensure projects are completed on time.
•Review plant design, operation and troubleshooting.
•Assist/lead in pre-commissioning and commissioning of facility and equipment

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent from a reputable university.
•Experience from petrochemical industry sector, preferably Polymer/EPDM Rubber background.
•Excellent English communication skills (verbal and writing), skills for conducting technical studies.
