The Company:
Our client is one of the world's largest integrated energy companies conducting business in countries all around the globe. They are engaged in every aspect of the crude oil and natural gas industry, including exploration and production, manufacturing, marketing and transportation, chemicals manufacturing and sales, geothermal, power generation, renewables and advanced technologies.

The Role:
• Champion of Surface Equipment Reliability Improvement Process (“SERIP”) to improve overall reliability of equipment. Strong supporter of development and implementation of new activities associated with SERIP.
• Responsible for development and application of the Reliability Programs for reducing the scope and cost of maintenance effort as applied to rotating mechanical equipment and to improve machinery reliability. This responsibility encompasses improved efficiency, design upgrade, increased reliability, reduced maintenance, etc.
• Utilizes repair and failure information from the CMMS and other sources like CPOS and Energy Components to identify and prioritize gap closure efforts related to surface equipment availability. (Bad Actor / Worst Actor Process).
• Facilitates team investigations of all worst actors in area. Reviews reports and metrics related to worst actor process. Identifies equipment that present availability, environmental or safety risk and encourages pre-emptive corrective actions. Follows up with equipment operators, engineering and maintenance personnel to insure problem equipment is recognized and addressed.
• Knowledge and experience in the operation of rotating equipment, i.e. motors, pumps, gas compressors, gear boxes, reciprocating compressors, engines and turbines (steam and gas) with experience in maintenance and troubleshooting in all areas. Knowledge of machinery protective and condition based monitoring systems. Knowledge and experience of design, engineering specifications, and spare parts specifications for rotating equipment.
• Knowledge and experience in upstream and downstream operations, i.e. Power generation, oil handling and treating, plant operations, oil production, water treating, etc
• Establish and maintain accurate status of all mechanical equipment (Energy Component Equipment Availability / Reliability Data Entry.
• Reviews design and recommends design upgrade or equipment replacement to eliminate excessive design-related maintenance. Reviews replacement expenditure requests to insure that inadequate equipment has been upgraded and modernized to eliminate or reduce failures and down time. Makes use of equipment inspection records and other reliable sources for the analysis of potential failures.
• Champions the development and implementation of 24/7 responsible equipment care for surface equipment by operations and maintenance personnel. Supports efforts around operator equipment care and stewards predictive tools and technologies for Production Operations or Maintenance; e.g., 4 senses operator training, IR surveillance, vibration, lubes analysis or the use of critical control variables like engine performance and routine operator duties for critical alarm and control systems. Provides stewardship to strike an effective balance between time and condition based activities based on equipment criticality.
• Reviews and assists Reliability Technician with analysis of monthly surveillance of all centrifugal equipment as per monitoring schedule. Obtain accurate data, diagnose routine machinery problems and maintain the record-keeping system. Recognizes non-routine machinery problems and notifies the appropriate person(s). Reviews Monthly Surveillance Reports and other documentation as applied to routine diagnostic surveillance.
• Knowledge and experience of analysis techniques for operational/maintenance metrics, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (“FMEA”) studies, Root Cause Failure Analysis (“RCFA”) studies, and Reliability Centered Maintenance (“RCM”). Provides stewardship of RCFA process to insure timeliness and follow up of corrective actions. • Provides training, mentoring or facilitation of RCFA events related to equipment. Utilizes 5-Why, Why Tree, or other techniques to facilitate identification of root causal factors. Determines solution and makes recommendation on corrective action to be taken. Tracks completion of corrective actions on significant events. Capable of training/mentoring Advisors, Supervisors, Foreman and Technicians on Root Cause Failure Analysis techniques.
• Makes recommendations on the necessity of outside specialists or representatives concerning unique machinery-related situations.
• Maintains "state-of-the-art" knowledge by contacts, technical articles, web and attendance at various symposia/training classes.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Previous extensive experience in the discipline is a must.
Excellent communications skills at all levels.
Strong cultural awareness and respect for diversity.
Must be able to share knowledge and mentor national employees.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
BSc or equivalent qualification preferred.
