The Company:
Is a leading Automotive manufacturer with a reputation for outstanding quality the world over. With demand increasing and an upturn in production, there is a need to bring further skills into the business to deliver on current and future projects.

The Role:
To manage the design and development ergonomic buck properties to facilitate design and engineering decision-making across all Company projects, on time and within budget
1. Design: The design of ergonomic bucks to represent variable vehicle architecture. Liaison with external suppliers and internal modelling departments to develop these bucks in order to support the hard point agreement process
2. Administration: the creation of project plans and monitoring of buck development against time and budgetary constraints. The structured organisation and timely communication of CAD information
3. Advanced: Proactively seeking opportunities to explore unique concepts and materials and apply them through the development of prototype properties

Key Responsibilities
Creation of timing plans and budgetary proposals for Ergonomic properties
Liaising with external suppliers and the internal modelling departments or workshop facilities to develop ergonomic bucks and Technical Control Models to facilitate the hardpoint agreement process
Management of the design (CAD) of ergonomic bucks to support variable vehicle architecture according to project requirements
Structured organisation of data in the CAD environment
Continuous process improvement to increase quality, reduce lead time and costs in the development of physical properties and pre-production prototypes
Evaluation of USP's on physical properties

Appropriate Design / Engineering Qualifications or experience to suit

Previous Experience
Project management or supplier management experience necessary
Knowledge of vehicle package and primary hard points plus ergonomics would be an advantage
Catia V5 would be an advantage
Whole vehicle design and engineering experience important
PC skills to include; Word, Powerpoint, Project and Excel. Photoshop / illustrator an advantage
