The Company:
A multi-national Oil and Gas Operator involved in a World Class Expansion Development being fabricated in Korea.

The Role:
Joining a Multi-national team based in one of the World's Largest Fabrication yards, this is an exciting long term (3 years+) role for an experienced Ex Superintendent to be part of a World Class Development.
The role will be based in Okpo, Geoje Island on an Expat basis (Visa Sponsorship Available) and will report to the Reporting to Module Delivery Lead Delivery Engineers
for this World Class Project
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Role details are:
Fabrication Team Coordinator
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Support all HSE Activities / Initiatives. Observe for unsafe acts / unsafe conditions and raise observation cards.
• Participate in Behavioural Based Safety (BBS). Fully support and participate in all Injury and Incident Free (IIF) initiatives through reaching out and communicating with Contractors Staff and trades personnel.
• Compliance with Ethics policies.
• Adheres to Project Execution Procedures.
• Review Vendor Package Equipment Delivery to ensure key Flawless Initiatives are suitably addressed to lessen any possible carry over to Fabrication Yard.
• Supports Module Delivery Lead Project Engineers (MDLPE) whom are responsible for
o the timely delivery of a group of Pre-Assembled Modules (PAUs) inclusive of structural fabrication and assembly,
o Piping fabrication and installation , equipment placement and mechanical outfitting,
o Electrical and Instrumentation installation
o Testing of piping systems / E&I systems
o Preparation of PAUs for shipment / sail away requiring de-stacking (horizontal splitting) of assembled PAUs,
o Disconnection of piping, and E&I systems
o Preservation of equipment and systems
o Loadout and secure PAUs onto ocean transport vessels.
• Understand the requirements of the contract fabrication Scope Of Works inclusive of all aspects including schedule and look ahead plans for all disciplines. Ensures work is in conformance with plans, specifications, schedules,
• Interfaces with Quality and Engineering Teams to insure all work scopes are in compliance with project requirements / specifications, any corrections, additions, re-work identified by Quality or Engineering is performed accordingly.
• Maintains effective schedule reporting control functions of the project and ensures adherence to these practices.
• Establish daily contact with Fabrication Contractor supervision forming good relationships.
• Develop excellent working relationships with Company and Contractors teams assisting Fabrication Contractor in all his endeavours and objectives observing quality codes and standards.
• Maintain high standards of attitude and behaviour throughout the site and offsite acting as a role model / mentor for younger members of staff and local employees.
• Monitor and reports work activities and manpower requirements to meet established completion dates, monitors craft personnel levels, material, and equipment needed to meet schedules. Understand KPI targets and monitor progress and have a perspective towards the contractor focus on meeting targets
• Prepares and issues weekly / monthly status reports as required
• Reports to MDLPE / Construction Manager - Okpo

EEHA Superintendent
Additional responsibilities other than those above include but are not limited to:
• The EEHA Superintendent will be responsible to manage the project EEHA implementation, Inspection and fault rectification of all EEHA equipment to the appropriate Regulatory and Project Standards and Practices.
• Work with to have suitable EEHA equipment registers complied.
• Manage the activities of the Project EEQC Inspectors inclusive of training and compliance.
• Verification and monitoring of contractor and sub-contractors quality control activities for electrical equipment installation during module fabrication/erection.
• Technically supervise all EEHA equipment installers and inspectors
• Ensure all inspectors are familiar with project requirements applicable to the work they inspect.
• Ensure all inspectors have the proper qualification and certification for the work they inspect
• Review and approve all contractors’ equipment installation ITP’s and method statements.
• Assist completions on the alignment of QVDs with
• Ensure all IEC EX 60079 equipment is received, preserved, installed, inspected and documented in accordance with the code.
• Manage any deficiency repairs and equipment replacements
• Liaise with Construction, Completions, Commissioning and Engineering Supervisors on electrical equipment quality matters.

Coordinate with Construction Quality group to ensure records are properly reviewed and endorsed by WP-F (and EM QA when required) prior to status update in the SCDB.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Degree / Diploma or equivalent in electrical engineering
• Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Area’s training, qualification. Working knowledge of the applicable code or standard of manufacture or installation e.g., National Electric Code/NFPA 70, IEC International Standard EN 60079 -14 & 17 (Electrical Apparatus for Explosive Gas Atmospheres) or equivalent standards
Experience Team Leader and delivery management of major projects

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
A minimum of 20+ years of experience with a proven ability to work with contractor personnel in a mentoring/developmental role
• Commitment to HSSE Leadership, mentoring and coaching
• Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing and email as well as the intermediate use of spreadsheets and electronic presentations
• Skills demonstrating the capability to run a large project
• High critical thinking/reasoning ability
• Effective communication skills at all levels
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
• Effective communication skills
• Previous Korean Yards Experience Essential
