The Company:
Our client is a major global Oil and Gas EPC management company that can cover small Brownfield projects to major Greenfield projects.
They are a growth company who can serve as a Sole Supplier, Joint Venture or Subcontractor. With a proven track record of delivering large scale complex projects they are a progressive and attractive company.

The Role:
The Senior Expeditor is responsible for:

Leading and facilitating the expediting of equipment, materials, goods, and services that may arise form Clients Canada's engagement in the EPC and EPCM project environments. This includes all aspects of the Supply Chain Management cycle from the material requisition, managing the bid process, ensuring timely turnarounds on internal and external approvals, timely delivery of vendor data, vendor deliverables, performance, quality, service, technical improvements, safety, and other activities which may be unique or specific to a given project.

Be current and provide information on industry procurement practices; such as strategic procurement, competitive bid law, contract law, negotiation strategies, treatment of exceptions, procurement documentation, logistics, performance management, ethical conduct, and seek and implement process improvements.

Work within a project team environment, potentially on multiple projects, procurement documentation, work flows, quality standards, safety and loss control, inspection coordination, and scope of works.

Be proactive in the approach to the delivery of equipment, materials, goods, services, variances, non-conformance reports, and communication of order status to the project team.

Mentor, facilitate, and assist junior members of the procurement team in training, process, acclimatizing to the corporate culture, and career development.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Requirements Relevant formal qualifications and relevant experience i.e. BTEC or GNVQ level.
Must be conversant with all aspects of purchasing.
Must be IT literate (Microsoft Software).
Must be proactive and able to work with little direct supervision but also form part of a project team as required.
Must be flexible in ability to adapt to different project requirements and environments.
