The Role:
Mission of the function?
The Expert Level Electric , Instrumentation and control Engineer works on systems and components for electrical and I&C for reference power plant development. Reference power plants are the base for technical and economical optimized power plant solutions. These are used for proposal as well as for execution projects.

• Responsibilities
(1) Adapt functional standard to regional requirements
(2) “Localize” Reference Power Plants
Benchmark against competitors in the region and feedback into development process
Support in developing new suppliers with suppliers standard.
(3) Design of overall electrical system, conceptual design of plant DCS , plant monitoring and control systems. Know the trends in the specific technical area internally and externally; make them available for others and drives their development
(4) Evaluate and review implementation concepts
(5) Ensure know how maintenance and development. Transfer knowledge, design training program, train new experts
(6) Ensure application of standardized solutions and modules for projects in execution.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Knowledge of Steam and Power Generation technologies including gas and steam turbines in simple cycle and combined cycle plants
• Experience in system engineering for power plant electrical systems. System Engineering contains:
1. Setup of plant overall concept
2. Process Integration Mechanical, Electric and Civil, Architecture
3. Familiar with power plant operation
4. Design of P&IDs and associated descriptions
5. Understanding of main / auxiliary components
6. Basic knowledge of plant automation, including start-up, shut down, transient operation and abnormal operation cases.
7. Interface clarification to any external systems, such as district heating, process steam, or desalination plants
8. Knowledge on detail electric system design including single line diagram, transformer sizing and selection, HV/MV/LV switchboard, protection system, grounding system, cable engineering and routing
