The Company:

The Role:
• Evaluate exploration opportunities to the highest technical standard;
• Interpret a variety of geological data (well data, sedimentology, biostratigraphy, petrophysics, geochemistry) and integrate into the seismic
interpretation to produce a complete subsurface evaluation;
• Work with the Uxbridge-based New Ventures team to identify and recommend potential New Ventures exploration opportunities and participate
in on-site technical evaluations;
• Identify and develop opportunities in priority focus areas using business contacts and competitive business information sources;
• Co-ordinate geological work and monitor outsourced geological projects;
• Provide geological input for area and well reviews, and maintain updated geological interpretations and maps;
• Prepare well programmes;
• Utilize risk analysis and concept software.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Master's degree in Geology or Geophysics;
• Currently working as a Geoscientist in a similar role, with proven exploration experience;
• Demonstrate experience in basin and play analysis, prospect generation, and volumetrics/risking;
• An ability to integrate geophysical, geological, and engineering data to the best possible advantage of the company;
• Ability to judge quality opportunities, in a timely fashion, with a strong business overprint;
• A strong understanding of geoscience concepts, to include structural, facies and sequence stratigraphic analysis;
• Experience in performing risk/uncertainty assessments;
• Demonstrated history of positive teamwork, and ability to contribute in a team environment;
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills;
• Strong analytical skills and commercial understanding;
• Ability and willingness to travel internationally on a periodic basis;
