The Role:
• Provide regional, block and prospect-specific evaluation through the integration of seismic interpretation, facies interpretation, hydrocarbon charge interpretation, and petrophysical analysis of rock and fluid properties
• As a well owner, coordinate the activities of a group of multidisciplinary professional staff in order to plan and deliver safe and successful Exploration wells
• To strive for continuous improvement in team performance and to contribute to strategic decisions at asset level.

• Ensure that all work is completed with no negative impact on people or the environment
• Deliver high integrity, integrated evaluations on time and within budget
• Prospect generation and evaluation, including interpretation of 2D/3D seismic data to produce maps, and maturation of these prospects to AFE status for drilling
• Be familiar with, and apply where appropriate, a wide range of depth conversion methods
• Proactive knowledge sharing and engagement with colleagues in team and company
• Provide input to team strategy and long-term planning, and co-ordinate R&D activities and projects with other sections/departments, so as to develop new plays and opportunities

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• A degree in geology/geophysics or related science
• Minimum of 10 years experience in evaluation or related activities
• Strong geologic and geophysical skills
• A proven track record in Exploration Geology and Seismic Interpretation
• Broad experience in all aspects of play-based evaluation concepts and methods
• Ability to rapidly analyze and identify critical success factors and risk elements, then to focus on these to efficiently develop the opportunity
• Ability to collaborate with experts in the evaluation of AVO, seismic attributes and seismic inversion
• Experience with economic evaluation methods and risk
• Affinity with, and passion for, technology application
• Ability to evaluate and integrate hydrocarbon charge studies
• Intellectual integrity and honesty in prospect evaluation
• Self-starter with energy and initiative
• Strong interpersonal skills with a willingness to coach, mentor, and participate in the team dynamic
