The Company:
A Major International Operating Company is looking for Exploration Geoscientists to work on their Global operations.

The Role:
The positions offer exciting opportunities to work with a highly experienced and skilled multi-disciplinary exploration team on challenging hydrocarbon basins. The Exploration Geoscientist will work on a wide range of activities from evaluation of new venture Hydrocarbon basins to developing a prospect inventory and drilling wildcat exploration wells.

The roles will involve:

- Work on regional evaluations, basin analysis and prospect identification for all prospect generation and reservoir appraisals.
- Use a variety of geophysical and geological data from a range of structural and stratigraphic regimes to perform geological interpretations.
- Provide detailed Geological deposition modelling for regional sequence stratigraphic frameworks.
- Participate in the well the planning process utilising all available geological and geophysical data to optimise well locations.
- Provide Input for the generation of appraisal plans for all future developments.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Degree in Geoscience or relevant subject or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work with a variety of geological and geophysical data including 2D and 3D seismic, well logs, and core data.
- Experience in Oil and Gas exploration geoscience.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Understanding of some or all of the following:

- Experience of Regional Geological Evaluation techniques.
- Familiarity working in multiple structural and stratigraphic regimes.
- A full understanding of Play Concept definition.
- Experience of Petroleum Systems and Basin Modelling.
- Experience of Prospect Description and risking.
- Knowledge of exploration techniques and interpretation including seismic and non-seismic geophysics.
- Experience of Non-conventional hydrocarbons.
- Experience in Deepwater Exploration provinces.
