The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Export and Shipping Analyst

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Be able to work independently, manage priorities, identify issues and solutions using own initiative, coupled with a desire to make a difference and tenacity to achieve results.
Demonstrate drive, a creative flair with a customer focussed approach and good organisational skills and have the ability to multi-task; manage changing priorities whilst maintaining focus.
Be Computer literate and proficient in all relevant business systems.
Ability to communicate well at all levels both verbally and in writing establishing good company/supplier relationships.
Candidate must hold a full driving license and be willing to travel between sites when required.
Ability to perform well under pressure with high levels of responsibility.
High level of self-motivation and determination together with the ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
A flexible approach and strong prioritising skills are key
Work to specified processes as detailed in Departmental procedures

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Understanding of requirements for raising of shipping documentation and ensuring it is compliant with UK export and local import legislation.
Ability to liaise with both shipping and airline agents to get the best shipping options taking both price and time into account.
Abilty to understand KPI's to enable applicant to maintain a number of trackers on systems to give overview of shipping activities.
Represent the Shipping Dept. on regular conference calls with the overseas markets.
Understanding of UK and international customs oerations to ensure UK legislation is met i.e. Chamber of Commerce
Develop and support supplier re-tender process for airfreight and sea-freight budgets
Knowledge or mainframe systems. Understanding of SAP and/or KD2000 preferable.
