The Role:
1 MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To provide the Engineering function with detailed 3D and 2D design support, by using Bentley systems and applying theoretical, practical and innovative design solutions within the relevant Engineering discipline.



2 POSITION IN ORGANISATION

Reports to specific / defined Senior Engineer within Engineering Function.



3 SCOPE OF JOB

1. Accountable for the 3D and 2D design of components / systems to the defined Product Design Specification or Task Description.

2. Ability to take an analytical and systematic approach to create optimal solutions to problems.

3. Ability to work within a team.

4. Responsible for developing and maintaining specialist technical and business knowledge/capability.

5. Excellent time management and self-organisational skills.

6. Engineering Release.


4 DIMENSIONS & LIMITS OF AUTHORITY

• Operates within an agreed vehicle feature/sub-system budget and timescale.
• Accountable for identifying and escalating issues and risks to Senior Engineer / Manager.
• Responsibility to ensure factual and effective communication within all cross-function work teams.


5 QUALIFICATIONS

HNC qualified or equivalent and/or able to demonstrate the appropriate level of experience.
Trained in CATIA V5 to automotive industry standards.



6 EXPERIENCE

Appropriate experience working as a CAD Engineer within Automotive or Aerospace industry.
