The Role:
This position, reporting to Fabrication Engineer Manager, is located at Stord, shall support execution of fabrication requirements in Nyhamna Expansion as part of the Company Module Construction Team. The person we are seeking has extensive fabrication / mechanical completion knowledge and experience on multidiscipline level. A combination of engineering and Construction background, client-side experience of EPC management and familiarity with NORSOK code would be an advantage. The Team's scope includes working with the EPCm contractor on delivery of 17000 Mt of process modules and pipe racks at a number of global sub-contracting fabrication sites (Norway, other European yards, China), delivered to Nyhamna mechanical complete with no carry over work and pre-commissioned to the extent possible.

Tasks:
Drive delivery on fabrication sites, with focus on scope of work, quality, HSE and progress. Report and verify compliance with specifications and codes & standards specified in the Contract, through Inspection and Test Plans, Mechanical Completion Check Sheet's and Pre-Commissioning.
The ability to think ahead on multi-disciplinary field engineering / construction issues and see problems before they arise & develop mitigations in cooperation with an EPCm contractor
Build good relationship with EPC and all relevant parties in the project to enable quick identification and resolution of issues.
Be able to act as a discipline representative for Flawless Project Delivery and be responsible for implementation of mitigation actions identified from lesson learned databases.
Have high focus on HSE and support
Drive delivery of work-packs and materials & equipment to meet fabrication site need dates.
Ensure implementation of materials/ equipment- and preservation requirements, including use of MIPS.
Participate in baseline updates and reviews of weekly/ bi-weekly progress.
Participate in risk and opportunity assessment and following up.
Participate in audits and verifications.
Assist Engineering & Procurement Team in Fabrication Acceptance Tests at vendors.
Participate in Tool Box Talks.
Liaise with HSE, QA/ QC & Flawless, E & P, Work-pack and Completion Teams.

Qualifications
BSc or equivalent in mechanical engineering.
Minimum 8 years relevant experience in the Oil & Gas industry, Multidiscipline experience.
Communication, organisation and networking skills are as critical as technical skills for the role.
Ability to influence others in their own terms and communicate in Norwegian and English.
