The Role:
Mission
• To supervise the project Construction Contractor with regard to all fabrication maintenance (Coatings, insulation, scaffolding, access) activities in order to ascertain that the plant will be built as per drawings, specifications, procedures, costs and schedule.

Activities

• Provide the Construction Site Rep and discipline Superintendents with Fabric Maintenance expertise and support to ensure Compliance with the projects Safety objectives throughout the life of the project.
• Ensure that in addition to quality and good engineering practice, planning and cost must be a permanent concern for the EPC Contractor.
• Maintain good relationships with Contractors, being flexible enough but also strict when necessary to achieve the objectives of the Project.
• Liaise with Other disciplines, Safety, Cost, Planning and Administration sections to improve effectiveness of the overall Team.
• Keep the Site QS informed of all events, which affect the successful completion of the project goals with regards to cost and timescale.
• Support the Company Site Rep on the site by ensuring that the Construction Contractor is fully conversant with all Company project fabric maintenance related standards and procedures.
• Undertake regular site visits to inspect coating, insulation and scaffolding work scopes and fabrication maintenance activities and assess the work quality and delivery of the Construction Contractor, and intervene as appropriate to ensure activities progress in line with the project schedule.
• Supervise the following Site fabrication maintenance interfaces and ensure that Company / Project standards and procedures are fully aligned:
o Company & Construction Contractor
o Construction Contractor / Sub-contractors
• Support the Piping / Structural Superintendent and other Discipline Superintendents on all aspects of fabrication maintenance activities and ensure that interfaces with other disciplines are managed effectively.
• Demonstrate personal commitment to the SHE Policy, Maintain awareness of and ensure compliance with all relevant Statutory and Company SHE standards, actively participate in Company safety awareness and initiative schemes.
• Supervise and co-ordinate Company coatings inspectors in their duties.

• Gas Plant Construction Site
• Rotation 3/3 schedule

Qualifications Experience required

• relevant project construction experience
• Previous gas plant construction experience
• Previous experience as Fabric Maintenance representative on large projects with either Client or Contractor.
• Experienced Qualified Adv Scaffolder or Insulator advantageous but not essential.
• Computer literate with experience of report writing/ record keeping.
• Willing to undertake Company mandatory safety/other training
• Recognized level of expertise in construction discipline with excellent knowledge of Scaffolding, coating, and insulation techniques.
• Good spoken and written English.



SHE training required

Minimum CSCS or other to be undertaken if not already held.
