The Role:
Reporting to the Fabric Maintenance Coordinator the incumbent is responsible for

• To provide leadership in safety and expertise in comprehensive blasting / painting services.
• Provide first line Supervision/point of contact for workers

General:

Key Responsibilities for base Supervisor:
• Provide communication of the status of activities and work progress to the specific coordinator.
• Provide >50% attendance on the plant in overseeing the activities of assigned work groups.
• Provide site supervision in overseeing the activities of assigned work groups, and safely facilitating the timely coordination of men & equipment to the work sites
• Create and maintain effective working groups that are safe and efficient in executing their scopes of work
• Ensure all QA/QC documentation is sourced and compiled to MDR’s in a timely manner
• Participate in pre-start and tool box meeting at the start of every shift
• Ensure track work group permits are up to date and read for each shift
• Ensure that equipment checks and pre-start checks are completed on a daily basis
• Promote and facilitate an excellent safety culture within working teams
• Follow all company safety procedures and objectives
• Ensure the scaffold work teams comply with all the Working at Heights requirements.
• Responsible for the reporting of incidents of any nature
• Responsible for visual spot checks and quality inspections throughout each project before the final inspections are carried out.
• Ensure that the right level of competency is applied to each task
• Ensure that the subordinate Leading Hands and work team members understand the safety requirements, the scope of works, the quality standards and the time frames required to complete the work is achieved
• Perform survey, estimating or quotation level assessments as required.
• Do not allow the misuse of tools and/or equipment.
• Provide day to day guidance and active coaching to assigned teams.
• Provide progressive onsite trade mentoring for work teams.
• Ensure that all inspection equipment is within calibration and fit for use
• Ensure that all maintenance and servicing of equipment is carried periodically
• Ensure that the right level of competency is applied to each task
• Assist the AIM Offshore Coordinator with supervision, improvements to the operation of campaigns and projects
• Provide progressive onsite trade training for work teams


Specific Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the completion of daily coatings reports and issued prior to final inspections of coatings to be carried out by the Offshore Coatings Coordinators and the compilation of MDR documents for QA/QC coordinator review.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Fault finding and problem solving with equipment and tooling
• Significant experience in the use of slurry, dry, bi-carbonate and ultra high water pressure blasting methods
• Significant experience in the application of various coating systems
• A good understanding of the operations of surface preparation and coatings equipment
