The Company:
Our Client is one of the world's largest Oil and Gas companies. Their operations cover the entire energy chain, including oil exploration and production to trading, shipping and refining and marketing of petroleum products, as well as chemicals. Our Client has operations in over 130 countries and has more than 95,000 employees worldwide.

The Role:
•Ensure that legislative and Company safety, health and environment rules (including “MAESTRO” system) and standards are met by EPCI Contractor.
•Monitor Contractors’ achievements in accordance with contractual requirements and especially in area of safety and technical expertise to ensure all company standards are met
•Ensure proper involvement of support teams (Subject Projects Engineering, TA, commissioning, QA/QC...)
•Issue direct reports to Package Manager including technical reports & Progress reports of the contractor’s Fabrication scope.
•Review of detailed engineering and construction documents
•Identify deficiencies & develop solutions that would ease fabrication / installation.
•Oversee all site activities to ensure that all technical and contractual information is properly recorded, collated and available for inspection/reference as required by company policy.
•Schedule reviews for component deliveries from Vendors.
•Identify deficiencies and aid development of solutions to identified construction problems.
•Manage construction interfaces with others (engineering, QA/QC, commissioning) arbitrating when necessary between different disciplines, the only criterion being the good of the overall project.
•Maintain good relationships with contractors, being flexible but also strict when necessary to achieve the objectives of the project.
•Ensure that the construction yards are provided with suitable information in line with requirements (technical and schedule) and to troubleshoot technical problems that may affect construction.
•Identify critical activities for the progress of works and potential bottlenecks.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Knowledge of the main engineering disciplines:
•Pipelines / Metallurgy / Subsea Installation / Welding
•Degree in one of the above disciplines (chartered engineer or equivalent)
•Significant experience in Pipeline Bundle Fabrication including super duplex and lined pipe
•Appropriate industrial experience overall with successful experience as a Fabrication superintendent
