The Company:
Our client are an independent international oil and gas exploration and production company

The Role:
The successful candidate is responsible for managing, implementing and carrying out specific Contract and Procurement activities in support of the Company's objectives. Providing professional Contracts Engineering advice and development of the necessary documentation, allowing Contracts Engineering services to effectively develop and
implement contracts. Thereafter provide high quality contractual advice in support of the Company’s facilities and activities.

Job Function:

- Manage other contract / cost control personnel and provide mentoring,
- Meet contracts processing deadlines and quality levels,
- Design the Contracting procedure and Tendering Process at Group level for major industrial projects worldwide (Drilling and Associated Services, Seismic, Civil Works, Facilities/Logistics): Guidelines, Process Charts, Contracts templates and annexure, etc.
- Draft and advise on contractual terms and conditions as appropriate, obtaining the approval of the Chief Legal Officer (CLO) as required.
- Work with all other stakeholders (Drilling, Exploration, IT, HSE, Legal, Tax, Risk, Finance) to drive continuous improvement of processes & procedures emphasising standardisation where possible.
- Support the Corporate Drilling Manager and Drilling Team, and the Technical Manager and Exploration Team and perform contract engineering in cooperation with support functions in Geneva Offices, as required.
- Responsible for preparing and co-ordinating the different phases of Tendering process and Contracting for onshore and offshore Exploration & Production operations in Middle East (Iraq; Kurdistan) and other regions
- Management of the RFP/Call For Tender process.
- Establishment of the tenderers list; Pre-qualifications and Invitations to Tender, including technical requirements,clarifications with the tenderers.
- Coordinate the dispatch of tender documentation and co-ordinate responses to tender enquiries as appropriate and in compliance with PSC and JV obligations.
- Contractual evaluation of the offers, recommendations. Review vendor contracts to ensure conformance to project specifications and to identify deviations from accepted company policy/practice and any unusualbusiness or logistical risks.
- Consolidation of the contracts.
- Contracting scope covered:
- Long Lead Items / Drilling Services / Exploration Services / Facilities/Logistics / Consultancy/Technical Assistance
- Liaise with contractors and service providers as appropriate.
- Key working relations: Technical and Operations department

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, quantity surveying, or Professional Associate Member of an internationally recognized Institution of Cost engineers
- Minimum 10 years contracts administration experience which includes a supervisory role with major international Contractors or Clients
- Related experience shall include some exposure project management skills, financial planning and budgeting
- Understanding of E&P business
- Operational experience in Middle East.
- Ability to fluently write and speak English.
- Strong contract management and administration skills.
