The Role:
Main processing unit operations are:
- Pig receivers
- Slugcatchers
- Gas blending
- Dewpoint unit
- Refrigeration unit
- Condensate stabilisation
- Methanol distillation
- Slops/rerun
- Tank farm
- Utilities (power generation, fuel gas, instrument air, instrument gas, effluent handling, firewater)
Providing process engineering support for such an integrated and complex installation is a challenging task and requires a highly motivated engineer. The Facilities Engineer will report to the Facilities Engineering Team Leader with day to day activities directed by the members of the Leadership Team.
Key responsibilities:
- Identify engineering solutions to improve plant availability and operability
- Execute, and lead multi-discipline teams in the execution of, real time operational problem solving exercises
- Liaise with and manage specialist contractors and consultants in the provision of operational support
- Liaise with and provide Process Engineering support to Maintenance Team
- Liaise with and provide Process Engineering support to A&OI groups
- Liaise with Production Control, Optimisation and Development groups contributing to a cohesive support network within the OU
- Liaise with Engineering Projects group to specify and support modification projects
- Function as project owner for Facilities Engineering initiated projects
- Support (as required) for others’ projects
- Provide general support to asset as required, supplying operational related information to maintenance, compliance, HSEQ, drilling, subsurface and well intervention groups as required
- In co-ordination with Production and Development engineering, identify future short/mid-term enhancement projects that have potential to add value to the SNS

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Safety/environmental awareness – understanding of safe working practices and procedures
- Technical awareness - willingness to learn general understanding of all technical areas affecting plant operations (Process, Mechanical, Systems, Electrical and Instruments)
- Commercial awareness – willingness to learn production optimisation and contractual arrangements with partners and vendors
- Procedural awareness - willingness to learn guidelines and procedures relevant to plant operations
- Ability to function well in a multi-discipline team
- Ability to communicate and work closely with the wide diversity of Operational, Engineering, Consultancy and Management groups involved in the OU
