The Role:
Overview of Position:
Lead/coordinate and participate in technical safety related aspects of projects, studies, audits, initiatives and information exchange including support of Corporate initiatives

Key Responsibilities:
• Provides Hazards Analyses and Risk Assessment facilitating services for the business unit in compliance to company policies, standards and procedures.
• Serves as Project Manager for assigned safety engineering projects or work packages.
• Analyzes and recommends solutions to management that result in a multi-discipline approach to general problems relating to safety engineering issues.
• Work in the multi-discipline team environment of Company to support business unit objectives and goals.
• Serves as a Project Team member in safety engineering role.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering (Safety, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrument) with GPA more than 2.75.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience in the petroleum business, preferably in the safety engineering role.
• Able to read and comprehensively understand P&ID, PFD.
• Understand and applications of computer model for release (single and multiphase), dispersion (including CFD), radiation, explosion, prediction impact on personnel and assets.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Preferred Additional Qualifications/ Experience:
• Practical, hands-on field experience in process operations preferred.
• Experience in design of offshore platforms or oil and gas related processing facilities would be of benefit.
• Able to communicate effectively in English; both written and verbal.
• Proactive, self-starting approach to work and personal improvement and development.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Excellent personal skills that facilitates interaction with peers, clients and consultants.
• Ability to influence decisions that impact on risk reduction for the Company amongst peers and management. Strong group facilitation and coordination skills.
• Willingness to travel to locations inside and outside the business unit for job related activities and personal development/training
• Experience on process simulation i.e. Hysys, Pro II
