The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia.

The Role:
An opportunity is available for an experienced Document Controller to join the Facilities Engineering team based in the CBD. In this role you will be responsible for the following:

- Work directly with ABU IM Team members, business stakeholders and Information Owners to support day to day Document Control requirements
- Ensure integrity and completeness of controlled documentation (Business Controls, OEMS, WA Oil Facilities Engineering) managed by the ABU Information Management Team within the DMS master repository
- Assist with maintenance of controlled hardcopy distributions
- Perform an Document Control ‘Gate Keeper’ role, ensuring documentation is: Formatted, numbered, revision controlled and managed in accordance with the relevant ABU standards and conventions, Registered in accordance with data entry standards Received, processed, distributed and tracked in accordance with Document Control procedures, approved distribution matrices and agreed timescales
- Assist with the development, generation and distribution of business reports as required, typical examples; Outstanding Document review and approvals, Document Validity and Expiration Reports o Planned documents
- Accommodate reprographic requirements e.g. scanning, copying, binding (inc, managing the flow & tracking of hardcopy documents issued to offsite Contractors for scanning; ensuring the process is undertaken in a timely manner and location of hardcopy originals is known at all times
- Support search and retrieval of accurate controlled information
- Interface with the External Engineering Contractors and Service Providers Document Control focal
- Assist with clean-up/remediation of legacy data integrity issues under direction of the ASBU IM team e.g. undertake document QA/QC, DMS registration, and meta data changes
- Undertake offsite archiving of physical media in accordance with ABU offsite archiving process and retention schedule
- Provide temporary leave and backfill cover for other Document Control roles within the IM Team ABU Information Management Team and Functional Support Responsibilities
- Document Control communication/awareness, coaching, training and support
- Foster and support Document Control best practice within ABU
- Develop personnel knowledge of, and commitment to, key behaviours required for successful IM
- Provide general IM governance, guidance and support
- Provide Document Control best practice advice to ABU ‘Customers’ - Support ABU ‘Customer’ Document Control issue resolution
- Communicate and promote awareness of processes and standards where required


Education: Tertiary level qualification (diploma or degree) preferred but not essential
Experience: Significant document control experience
Preferred Skills: Good IT skills including understanding of the Microsoft office suite, Adobe Acrobat Attention to detail a must; good communication skills to varying levels within the organisation

The position duration is 6 months, located in Perth, working 8 hour days.
